Toy Rescue

DAGOMA

The French love toys, and will be buying millions of them again this year for Christmas. But behind the toys lies a veritable ecological disaster.

Every year, more than 40 million toys are thrown away by the French.
Because in most cases, they can't be repaired. For one reason only:
spare parts don't exist.

To make toys repairable, Dagoma, the European leader in
3D printing, has launched the
Toy Rescue operation.
The spare parts of toys that until now didn't exist have been recreated in the form of 3D printable files.

The principle is simple: after listing the most frequently broken or lost parts of the best-selling toys of the last 40 years, a team of 3D designers modeled and recreated over a hundred parts using a 3D scanner.
