McDonald's France has teamed up with Editions Albert-René to celebrate the wacky world of Asterix in its restaurants.
Name of a menhir!
To mark the occasion, we've come up with a 360° campaign that celebrates the craziness of McDonald's and its customers, and reaffirms its iconic signature "Come as you are".
The campaign includes a film featuring two menhirs, the license's strong coders, who have almost become characters in their own right, this time discovered... in the middle of a discussion. Their topic of choice: McDonald's, of course, and why humans have been gathering there for the same rituals for 2,000 years.
The film, produced by \Else, takes place in a hybrid universe between the real world and colorful references borrowed from the license's codes.
For the occasion, the brand's social networks will also be gripped by a joyous madness, with McDonald's CM giving free rein to his crazy side.
A brand-new menu and exclusive prizes by Toutatis!
For the very first time, McDonald's is inviting its fans and Asterix fans to taste products inspired by the license. Will you be able to tell the difference between the McRib™ Barbecvs Porc BBQ and the McWrap™ Mediterraneum Poulet Poivron? One thing's for sure, these two sandwiches will be even better accompanied by the Boisson des Chefs!
For every purchase on the McDo+ app of a Best Of™, Maxi Best Of™, McDonald's Golden Ligue 1 or McDonald's Duo Golden Ligue 1 menu including at least one of the products in the operation, customers will automatically be entered into a prize draw giving them a chance to win tickets and stays at Parc Astérix. They will also receive a 15% discount code valid on a Parc Astérix admission.
In the Happy Meal™, children can choose between an Asterix board game, a Dogmatix comic book or a book from the Le Musée magique collection. They can also discover the Boisson des Chefs in their Happy Meal™️.
